Final bump for this thread before I let it die a horrible death and commit it to the depths of the MT dungeon along with the T-Total thread

Tbf, i dont want to take too much credit here, i dont drink everyday... I only drink on weekends and occasions but they tend to be until 'failure' I cant remember watching a week night liverpool match and not getting plastered. Tomorrow will be a good day in work now, which is great as i have a busy day and was dreading it.

well done to thoese who haven't had a drink, just think of how many cars you could of pee'd up the wall for what you have spent on booze over the years think of that and you will think twice about a drink

I used to drink every night after work up to about 18 months ago. Then i quit drinking during the week.I was still binging at the weekends, doing around 24 beers over Sat/Sun.Now i have managed, over the last month,to cut down to 3 or 4 when i go out,and have stopped drinking at home (so far). I hope to stick to this.I don't want to stop completely.Gives me something to look forward to.

Well a very bad day today. I didn't drink or even want to drink but have been wrestling all day with the thought that I can never drink again. Strange one. Got the FA Cup Final coming up...booked my coach, guy says "What a p8ss up this is going to be". Spoke to my mate about meeting up for the last game of the season, "Yeah we will have a few celebratory drinks" Now this has bothered me all day as I love going out with the boys to have a drink but know that the best thing for me to do training wise and life in general wise is to cut the booze out totally. This is the life of someone with a drink problem, it takes over your life even if you are not drinking. I know what I have got to do (not drink for either occasions) but saying it and doing it is a different matter altogether. Hopefully this thread will help me closer to the time. Cheers lads
