a personal trainer told me that, your body cant intake more than 20grams of protein anytime, but i was reading articles in muscle&fitness they said to take 2scoops of whey for post-workout which equals to 40grams

so, what is right than?

I use about 40g whey post workout. Ive never heard that your body can't intake more than 20g protein a time.

i you do a general google seach, most would say 30-35g per meal. why it's limited I don't know, i posted a thread on this forum and was directed to another thread on this forum.

i always have 2 scoops post workout never heard that before bud

all this "you cant digest more than X amount" stuff is BS.

ask him what study he read that in.

It's bs....if it were true...people like ronnie coleman who have to eat 500g's a day, and around 6000 cals...would never be able to absorb any of the 1,000 call, 40%+ protein meals they eat.

I don't know where the rumour came from, but I've NEVER seen a study that said that.

In terms of pwo...i use 40g, but i've heard of people recommending 60g plus 50g fast carbs. up to you bud, based on your present weight. if you're less than 13st i'd use 40, if you're more, i'd consider using 40 plus, simply because you're bigger and hence so will your protein requirments be.
