What you weighing in at now then? I read you were 14st 6 but i cant see your present weight. Whats the goals now then, lose weight and tone up or just hit a bulk and see what gives?

All are welcome in here!!! I'm looking to lose the bodyfat, I'm not happy with it at all. I weighed myself at the gym with some proper balance weights. Said I was 89 kgs, so less than the 14st 6 that the Argos specials said I was. My diet is very rudimentary at the moment. Cut out the sh*t (going ok. have slipped up a couple times), keep the protein intake up and see what the cardio and weights do to affect how I look. 2 months being static has had its effect! Not doing the cutting challenge, I don't think I can cope too much with restrictive diets at this stage. BB'ing has got me off eating lots of sh*t food, practically stopped me drinking and improved what I eat so much. Diet will always be my weakness, in so much as it's not particulary diverse, I'll make do with what I can. I'd sooner pick up extra cardio, which I thoroughly enjoy, rather than be unhappy with what I eat. If it doesn't work, then I will look at a low carb diet as a short term fix. Should the cardio work, I'll then be back on the bulk proper. I'll watch calories more closely and see how it goes. I'm finding that am training means I'm eating a little less anyway, and means my eating has a lower impact on my working day. Worrying about pre work out meals at about 4pm when I'm at work is long gone. In that respect, am training is great. I'm hoping to be back where I was lift wise in 4-5 weeks, shoulder not withstanding. These next 9 weeks, my routine will be 4x6 rather than 5x5. Not a huge amount of difference but allows me to get through my routine in a shorter time period. Essential for AM training. I'm conscious that my lifts fade more quickly than PM training, though that may partially be due to lack of practice. It's also more difficult to do 5x5 effectively without a gym buddy. Not really fair to ask a random too many times. Though it's just bench on the last set which I struggle with, in a good way! Once these next 9 weeks are up, I'll take new pictures, compare and contrast, then plan from there. If things go well, the pics may happen sooner. Psychologically, I think I look better already Saw a guy in great condition in Dorchester on Sunday, made me realise as much as I have come on, my goals are still a way off. Went for a run on SUnday, legs felt great today, must be getting used to it. Think I'll up my running. Perhaps I might even get below 9 minute miles!!!!

Yeah, it's a great work out mate. See how you feel in two months time, I should have made progress too! Ok, doing Tues, Thurs and Sat this week, had to go to Brizzle yesterday. Upped deads to 130kgs, went ok, not the best deads I have done, but will get better. bent over rows, upped to 70kgs, went well, really feel these working posterior delts quite nicely. Curls stayed at 17.5kg, upping two lifts in a session is quite enough! Thoroughly enjoyed my session before work, even if I did leave my work clothes at home!!

Ran Weds, felt ok, a little tired. Bench I've started microloading. I'd like to chance more weight but with no spotter, the increments have to be small, so I benched 72.5kgs. Missed the last rep. Needed a spotter Pwn3d military at 40kgs, roll on 60 again!! Will up to 45 next week. Dips felt more stable, one or two more weeks and I'll get the belt on!! Running tomorrow! My metabolism has gone crazy, I cannot eat enough at the moment! I have to plan my meals better, reactionary visits to M&S for packs of char-grilled chicken breast is a costly but nice exercise!!

Awesome squats mate. I've neglected them over the past 12 months, only really picked them up just before I got injured. A passion for dead lifts has brought me round to squatting, I'm comfortable with those lifts now, where 12 months ago, I wasn't. Week 1 I took it easy with 70kgs, Week 2 80kgs, this morning was 85kgs. I've never squatted over 100kgs. I will get there. My form is good, 85kg has started to challenge me, I'll hit 90kgs next week. Spencer who owns the gym was trying to talk me into doing the Farmers Walk bars. I'm tempted to have a go next week instead of a leg session. Spencer is on about running a Farmers Walk compo, sounds funny! I fooking love my new gym, it's my mecca. Excellent set up, good owner great equipment. If anyone ever goes to Yeovil, let me know.

Deads at 130kgs. Set 1 was ok, early morning squats are definitely a wake up call! Set 2 was the worst. Gave it a decent rest period and sets 3 and 4 were much better. Was ready to go home after that! Bent over rows, 75kgs. Loving these, need to watch form on the last set. Curlz 20kgs, dropped 2 reps on set 3, monly managed a couple reps on set 4, finished on 17.5kgs. Shaking like a leaf as I type this. I worked fooking hard. Seems as time goes by, I'm able to push more and more. I hope I didn't scare the guy doing bicep curls on the squat rack next to me, I was being noisey! Good session all in all. Loving it! Set me up for the day. I've just guzzled my protein shake, time to shower and get bossed about by her indoors...

8th May. Bench managed 4x6 at 72.5kgs. Needed a spotter. One more week I think. Military dropped 2 reps on the last 2 sets. Perhaps I lifted 50kgs not 45? Have a vague recollection of sticking 5's on the end instead of 2.5's! Dips ok for 4x6, much better form. Two more weeks and I'll have complete control and be able to use a belt Ran on the 9th. Went much better. Squats today at 90kgs, about my body weight. Went fine for 4x6. Form suffered marginally, will stick at this weight as I think I can go deeper. May be leaning forward a little on form too. Need to watch that. Pleased with my squatting progress. Time to enjoy my weekend. I'm going to live in shorts and vests!

Deads on Monday. Went well but couldn't finish the last set. I did squats on Saturday, not really enough rest between the two, but I needed to change my days back to Mon Wed Fri. Bent over rows at 75kgs, lovely. Curls 20kgs. Couldn't sleep Monday night, so didn't run Tues am.

Bench went very well, will up that. Military I dropped a couple reps on the last set. Dips were really good. Weight belt next week! Have also been doing the dumbell flys for lateral delt work. Good session.
