Hey everyone. This will be my cutting journal for the 'Get shredded for summer, Nymjam style' MT Journal thing

Been training regularly with weights for about 2 and half years now. Before that was just generally mucking about and keeping fit. Diet has always been hit and miss but I am trying

Got my holiday to tunisia coming up on the 11th June so wanna be looking my best for that cos going with 18 friends, some of which are high level gymnasts and dammit I wont be outdone on the bod front lol! I have bigger legs for a start haha!

I will be taking pics every week to monitor progress.

Supplements
Ephedrine - 2xday 25mg (8 weeks)
Caffiene - 2xday 200mg (9 weeks)
Jungle Warfare - 4xday (6 weeks)

Mega dosing fish oil ED
5-6 cups of Green tea ED
Whey PWO (obviously)

Other Daily Supps -
H&B Super One daily vitamin
MP Krill Oil
Liv-52

Training
Trying something new so we'll see how I get on with it. Here's what I propose -

Calf Raises 2x15
Bicep Curls 3x8
Sit ups 2x15
Plank 2x30s

Routine 2
Deadlift 10x10
Shoulder Press 10x10
WG Chins 10x10
Bent leg calf raises 2x15
Dips 3x8
Sit ups 2x15
Plank 2x30s

Will alternate mon,wed,fri - 1,2,1, 2,1,2.

Cardio, whatever I feel like on the day, interval or steady state.

Diet
Something along the lines of

Wake - 30g whey
Breakfast - 1 egg, 5 egg whites scrambled,3 or 4 slices of brown bread, Green tea. 10ml fish oil
Mid morning - Tin mackeral, 1 wholemeal pitta, small mixed salad, piece of fruit.
Lunch - Tin tuna, tin sweetcorn, 2tbls natural yog, 2 wholemeal pittas, mixed salad, Green Tea, 10ml fish oil
Train
PWO - 40g whey and a banana
PPWO - 2 fillets of white fish, mixed veg, Green tea, 10ml fish oil
Evening - 1 chicken breast, Large mixed salad, Green tea

Criticism always welcome

Anyway enough bable, heres this weeks pics!
WEEK 1

WEEK 2

Todays Training
Started with routine 2 (deads, press, chins) dont know why!

Enjoyed it to be honest, tried to have no more than 90s rest between sets. I realise now I have no strength endurance lol!
Bring on wednesday

looking lean alreay as you said, one constructive comment i would make is that if you brought your shoulders up abit you would have a good looking physic

also dont do what i did and cut the cals to much too soon, do it slowly otherwise you will loose weight but not just fat and will just feel abit flat

Cheers mate. I know shoulders a bit of a weakness of mine. Hopefully they will get a bit more attention in this routine. Was doing bodyweight training for a long time and never did much isolation on shoulders until about a 8 months ago.

TBH I probably havent cut the cals much to my usual diet but just having all my carbs before 6pm, upped my EFA's and cut out the crap. So hoping I dont get the flat feeling. We'll see.

hahaha Thanks! Been wanting to try some kind of GVT for a while. Its a bit downhearting if you enjoy the look of lifting big weights because I try and keep the same weight throughout the 10 sets before I put the weight up next session.

oh jesus mary and joseph !!

i tried and tried but green tea just kept on tasting like dishwater !! kudos !!

the 10x10's are brutal, especially if you nail the KG to rep range , i enjoyed 20's ,personally i think powercleans are the best for higher rep stuff, BLOW LIKE A TRAIN !!!

Boar - lol its not a chore for me, i actually enjoy the taste of green tea! The plain one is ok but the ones flavoured with lemon or something similar I find really nice!
And I can imagine vomiting doing high rep power cleans. Do you have to keep a bucket at the side just in case

AJ - It will probably take a me a couple of weeks to get used to the volume but yeah im looking foward to it. Wont be starting JW for a couple of weeks yet, waiting for my friend to get back from holiday before I start that. Its on order though

Lightweight lol!

Thanks mate, Starting eph next week and jungle warfare in 2 weeks so hoping they will prevent me from being to catabolic. Said earlier my total cal intake is probably the same as what it always has been, just better structured and less crap so if im lucky I might even add a wee bit of lean mass while im at it. One can only dream though

Dammit I thought you weighed at least a stone more than me cos you look awsome. You have very good even development. I have quite a few weak points.

lol sorry, forgot to put the weights up

Deads 10x10 - 28kg (dumbbells)
DB Shoulder Press 10x10 - 16kg
WG Chins 10x10 - 3 sets BW and rest on the assisted chin machine.
Bent leg calf raises 3x15 (leg press machine) - 110kg
Dips 3x8 + 18kg
Abs stuff

Feels so downhearting only pressing 16's on the shoulder press , didnt have access to a bar which i why I was using DB's for the deads but will use about 85kg when using a bar.

Max lifts are (1RM)
Squat 140kg
Dead 160kg
Bench 100kg

I tried it for a while but got incredibly bored tbh, some love it though!

How tall are you?

We should probably get a room but ...........I'm jealous of your look so I guess we should swop ! I have lots of weak points imo and thats just my upper body

I've always fancied trying GVT / 10x10 but I'm saving it for when I'm bulking, I've got to say it seems almost a shame to do it when your not feeding the body as I cant see you getting any growth for all that hard work. Hopefully you will prove me wrong
