92kg and 330g protein per day. No idea if that's excessive, but I think I could power the whole house if I could hook my backside up to a turbine. In fact, I could probably sell excess power back to the National Grid!

I don't know where you guys are getting your chicken?! Chicken i get is just over 20g protein per 100g raw chicken. 200g of protein from chicken i would have to cook a 1kg of it! I cook 400g a day and thats me sorted for two meals.

Depending on whether you count raw or cooked weight! Without having to go home and weigh my meat before and after cooking, is there much of a difference? And does 500g of raw chicken have more or less protein than 500g of cooked chicken? Is it like eggs where cooking the meat makes more protein available?

The chicken breast we normaly get is 32g protein per 100g. 32x6= 192. I said just over 600g. The exact amount would be 625g of chicken. There is also protein in seeds, nuts, oats etc. Quick question, I remeber someone asking if the protein in oats (8g of protein per 100g ish) and other 'carbs', pasta, bread etc... were as usefull as the protein from meat. I don't remember the answer though? I wake up at 8 and go to bed at 1. Thats a 17 hour day. If I was to eat a meal every 2-3 hours thats about 6-8 meals a day. 350/6-8= 43-58. So thats only about 40-60g of protein a meal. Hardly a HUGE amount. Lord Monkcheese - I have kept my intake from solid food about the same over the last few months. Just increased whey and carbs as my BW has increased. For the summer I will be trying to cut a little bf so if anything I will be lowering my cals.

Chicken weighs less after its been cooked as it loses water. So 500g of cooked chicken contains more protein than 500g of raw. quote:

Cheers. Further to that then, do the nutritional values on the packaging relate to cooked or raw weight? I could always simply look at the packet when I get home but that's not for several hours so I'll ask you lot.

Whenever i quote chicken weight its always raw, as weight can vary depending on the way you cook it.

ORIGINAL: Proctimus Prime Chicken weighs less after its been cooked as it loses water. So 500g of cooked chicken contains more protein than 500g of raw. eg 500g raw chicken might contain 20g protein/100 =100 g protein Once cooked it has shrunk to 400g due to water lost but still has 100g protein in it so now has 25g/100 weight

Each breast inside the pack is in it's own little plastic sleave. Fancy chicken . It was 32g of protein per 100g and about 42g of protein per breast (130g ish). As far as I know this was the raw value.

I had this horrible thought that I might have to increase all my food intake. It's difficult enough eating what I eat now, let alone having to add extra to compensate for raw -> cooked weight.

Thats why im inclined to think that Jack quote of 32g per 100g is cooked rather than raw.
