Big D -> RE: weight and protein intake please (Apr. 15 2008 14:55:59)

i'm 100kg as of this morning. i eat around 250-300g protein per day.

sources:

whey
chicken
nuts
mackerel
white fish
protein bars
egg whites
cottage cheese
sometimes tuna if i'm in the mood, very rarely!

i dont have a set diet, i just know when its tome to eat and roughly the portion sizes to hit my requirements.

swift -> RE: weight and protein intake please (Apr. 15 2008 14:56:01)

timings are just as important as how much

RACK -> RE: weight and protein intake please (Apr. 15 2008 14:57:19)

I think when bulking mate, carbs are more important than protien. I'm sure I read work around 2-3g of protein per lb of body weight and make the rest up with carbs. Might be able to get more protein in if assisted

i think the majority of my diet at the min is carbs, im planning on upping my prot intake to 300gm per day give or take.

john_cappa -> RE: weight and protein intake please (Apr. 15 2008 15:08:28)

78 kg, usualy day will consist of 250-300g meat giving, 75 g protein, 2-3 shakes (with egg or milk protein powder) plus what ever protein i get from other foods

Edit i forgot i drink 2 litres + of milk a day so thats a decent amount of protein aswell

At 65kg, 350g seems a bit unnessasary in my opinion, especially at your age.

Im 93kg and usually only have around 240g.

I would agree if it was making me fat. Whey is cheap so not a problem there. 200g is just over 600g of chicken breast a day which isn't a huge amount when it's spread out.

yeah, i'm gaining solid mass while holding my bodyfat at a reasonable level. i'm currently on a cycle too though.

R3261 -> RE: weight and protein intake please (Apr. 15 2008 15:20:40)

closer to 800 grams of chicken!

Lord Monkcheese -> RE: weight and protein intake please (Apr. 15 2008 15:23:10)

My calculations make it more like 700g.

Still too much. Jack - as your weight increases, are you still going to increase calories accordingly?
