Hiya!!
IBS is a painful and nasty illness!
Introducing fibre into your diet can
help some symptoms! A few members
of my family suffer from this and
supposedly i do too! I was prescribed
anti spasmodics to stop the painful
contractions! I am fortunate not to have
the nasty diarrehoea and constipation but
i can understand how debilitating this must
be for you. I suggest you get a second opinion
as at the moment G.Ps use the diagnosise IBS
frequently and are often wrong!

use the followin link to find out the basic information

take care

Thanks everyone for the replies.

I have gone on a ultra delicate and light diet and the pain has improved a reat deal, im almost ok today, yesterday evening i had yet an episode of that dreaded pain it knocked the wind out of me for a good half an hour or so then got over it as it started to go away gradually and for the first time in a week ive had a full nights sleep without waking up with yet another pain attack.

Will keep taking the Domperidone and watching what i eat, i don;t seem to get any sides from milk and/or wheat as i had porridge for breakfast, but no more coffee, tea, fizzy drinks, spicy and fatty foods as these are the ones that seem to trigger the pain episodes from my trials so far.

It could easily be anythign else, was speaking to a mate from work, he had a burst appendix last year and was misdiagnosed with IBS way before and even after it burst, it got to the point where he started to piss blood and throw up contantly before it was spotted and had to have a full operation on his stomach to clean it up.

My doctor she said "its IBS but it could also be a bacterial infection" ? so shes left me with an open windon here. Im keeping a close eye on it, luckily so far ive had no vomiting and my appetite is as good as before, urine is clear, no constipation or diarhea.

But will keep an eye on it.
