Whats next chicken kills you, eggs give you heart disease.

I think theres new science on food everyday, ive heard one day to eat alot of fruit as it may make your life longer, and another day ive read fruit can spark of cancer.

It just goes on and on and on.

They will probly be telling us next, to do class A drugs all day to give us a better life.

Who's 'they'?

you eat a bowl of cereal - impregnated with 100% RDA of every vitamin
you drink a fruit drink - impreganted with vitamins, maybe to the tune of 50-80% RDA
you eat a few more processed snacks that are impregnated with vitmamins

wtf?!

The issue here that in nature micronutrients are in a biochemical redox (ie a balance), but we skew this balance if we take antioxident supplements. Read the work of Victor Herbert - whilst it may not all be correct, it certainly is an interesting read any may change your perception of micronutrient supplementation in excess.
http://www.victorherbert.com/index.htm - lists some of his papers
This one is the best to start with: http://www.victorherbert.com/AntioxidACN.htm

My father in law decided to ring me to tell me this whilst I could hear him puffing on his ciggie

I seem to recall you saying ages ago that either your father-in-law or grandfather was Irish and was giving you diet advice while eating slabs of real butter

That's the chappie, but he was saying he never ate any fat whilst he was eating the cheese thickness slice of butter

More than the RDA I would presume. Not read the actual report so there could be more accurate info in that.

Researchers,scientists.

Its most likely scientists in the US finding out 1 thing while scientists somewhere in europe are finding out another.
