I've recently increased my omega 3 intake (10 or so 1000mg tabs a day) and my complexion has come on very nicely.

Maybe worth giving it a try.

over the counter products are useless IMO

go to your GP and they can recommend you some tablets and benzoyl peroxide

those do the job nicely

should see some very nice results in a few months time mate

Try exfoliating few times a week and introduce a benzoyl peroxide cream to your regime. Use it twice a day, morning and night after you've washed your face.

Start of with 2.5% conc and see how you get on for 2 odd weeks....if they still persist, up it to 5% (it goes up to 10%)

Also, make sure you're drinking plenty of water (2ltrs a day if you can)

(The real shaving company - face scrub is freakin awesome! lol)

cleanliness has nothing to do with spots. Its all caused by hormones. Go to your gp and ask him/her to prescribe you some antibiotics.

I used to get spots and would wash every day with clean and clear etc etc.

About a week after using the anti's they cleared up and I never had to worry about washing with special stuff.

it's got EVERYTHING to with cleanliness....as it's bacteria that cuases the spots (as it attracts the white blood cells to the surface)

The hormones increase the amount of sebum (skin oil), thus making it a breading ground for the bacteria.

The OP states it's not sevre acne, thus can be treated with P line medication.

The benzoyl peroxide with dry out the skin and also kill bacteria....

M12 - your wrong.

The basteria is not caused by dirt on the skin.

When your body produces lots of testosterone then the amount of fatty acids in the stomatch increases and this is what causes soft tissue infections (i.e. bacteria in the skin causing spots). Thats why guys who use steds get spots. Its the test levels, not because they dont wash enough/with the correct products.

Don't waste your money.

Increase water intake, keep your hands away from your face and use a machine to shave.

Job done.

Btw, give it some time. Your face won't clear up over night.

I had quite bad spots when I was younger... One thing worked and I found it out for myself. I stopped washing my face with soap and using lotions and creams.

Spots are caused by an excess of sebum (grease) and using products on your face dries out your skin and creates more of the stuff. Let you skin find a natural balance by just washing with a flannel and warm water.

Try it.

Benzyl Peroxide is OTC, just go to boots and ask for it, got some right here PanOxyl 10% BP

I used to get real bad spots when on gear but now i use clean and clear facewashes on my back and it helps enormously.

What I'm trying to get at, is whether these are pimples as in they are red and inflamed...they hurt when you touch them...they come to a white head and there is pus in them.

Or there is no redness or pain, just a small white lump under the skin. If it's the latter then I would suggest these are something called milia, basically blockages in the pores. To remove these properly you'd be best to see a beauty therapist who would excise them hygienically for you and advise how to stop reoccurences.
