Hi James, showed your site to a mate of mine that doesnt do any exercise and pointed out the weightloss diet on there. Was wondering if the evening meal could be changed to 1 pot of cottage cheese, 3-4 oatcakes and a large salad That sound sensible? Thanks

I'm not keen on that mate - he needs a substantial meal. I guess it's ok for 1-2 days per week, but it really limits variety otherwise

120g chicken breast or 140g white fish or 120g lean meat 30g (dry weight) basmati rice or wholewheat pasta or 2-3 small boiled new potatoes and loads of veg or large salad Just curious? What is wrong with the way it is mate? yeah he says cutting up 120g bits of chicken is weird and not practical and might be normal to bodybuilders but to him it seems mental. "you just make food"

I personally wouldnt take the numbers on the mealplan literally to the gram, just a decent portion size. Im sure the numbers are on the mealplan site to give just an idea and should really be adapted to personal needs.

yeah i can kind of see his point i think its easy in this game to get used to measuring stuff and getting used to it but to those that have never done it it seems mad. maybe just a handful of pasta and a lump of chicken would be a better way for me to put it to him.

Cutting up 120g of chicken is weird LOL Sometimes it will be more, or less... it just means have about that amount. This is probably why James says eat food not numbers so people don't get hung up on them. Tell your mate, now he knows what 120g worth looks like to just guess it... what is it like a small breast maybe?
