Was going to start a poll but though a more discussion based topic was in order.

Do you feel that your opinions are overlooked by other members of MT who feel they know best?

On occasion i do.
Sometimes i feel a decent debate is not wise on hear becuase someone always tries to shoot down your views.

This is a pointless thread and your opinion means nothing to me.

Next!

Its only possible to have a decent debate if other people are willing to accept the value of other peoples imput even if it may be total alien to your own.

The biggest killer in any debate is when someone enters a thread and dis-credits all those people who they dont agree with in bulk.

It becomes worse when the inteligence of those people is also insulted, often by classing thier views as 'Junk' Garbage' or 'Rubbish'.

By doing this the person tries to elevate themselves to be some self proclaimed expert or 'Authority' on the subject the debate is about.

If they are or are not an expert acnnot be proven on the internet and that aside its plain and simply fcking rude to say that people are talking Rubbish,

And your point is??

"Anyone who says vista doesnt work is talking rubbish i have been running it since launch and have had no problems and imo it is vastly better than xp. Some people may have had problems with vista but with service pack 1 most of the bugs will be eliminated. Having said that if you dont download rubbish go on dodgy websites the bug thing wont even be an issue. "

1. Your shooting down other peoples views.

2. Your very clearly saying that 'you know best'

your point was?

Does anyone who's not genuinely concerned really go out of their way to type about how unconcerned they are?

Out of interest, could wrapping oneself in black plastic bin liners so that it's tight against your skin like a rubber/pvc dress, be classed as crossdressing?

Your missing the point by a mile.

What you have to say may indeed be very valid indeed,

But as soon as you enter any debate and state that other people are 'Talking Rubbish' then thats 'shooting down' thier views,

Is it not??

Yes i could see how you could draw that conclusion from the rather extensive and explanitory fable in my first post

This nonchalant guise is really just making up for my lack of self esteem and personal congruency with my earlier revelation.

How about you t.it? Dont mind if i call you that for short do you? Good.

Whats your views on said subject
