Personally, when it comes to strength, I don't really give a crap about bodyweight You can lift/move/carry/throw what you can lift/move/carry/throw If you weigh 2 stone more or less, honestly, who cares in the real world? What bearing does that bit of extra or lesser weight have on what you can actually physically do? If you can do something, you can do it The main relevance of bodyweight is in sports with weight divisions, other than that I can't see it being of much importance to anyone when we are talking about how much weight you can push

If you can do something, you can do it The only relevance of bodyweight to strength ratio is in sports with weight divisions, and that's something which hasn't even been mentioned in the thread unless I've missed it (which I may have done) i 100% agree good post mate!

Its basically so the little guys can extrapolate that if they were bigger they *would* be stronger than the big guy. They aren't and they wont ever be so it's pointless really.

the devils advocate in me would say that you have to be more impressed with a 70kg twig benching 150kg raw than a 130kg porker ? Ultimatley it doesnt matter if we can bench more, are fatter , thinner , etc etc but you cant look me in the japseye and say you wouldnt think that if you saw it
