Was a Polish lad I was training with at the gym tonight. I was well motivated by him and I set a new pb of 170k. He did 180k and was only a shade off 190k to be fair. Really satisfying stuff. Could be wrong but don't recall seeing anyone bench that raw before. Usually at my gym, nobody even benches 140k!

Most on bench is probably 150 for reps by a 65 year old. I can only dream of being like him when im that age.

best ive seen in the gym once was 160kgs. well done on your pb mate,very satisfying i hope.

Most ive ever seen was 4.5 plates a side (200k) by a 19/20 year old.

It was years ago at an old gym i used to go to.One of the Personal Trainers was South African,and his brother came over to visit him.He came down the gym a few times and was massive.Benched 192kg's IIRC.Awesome sight to see it in the flesh.

230kg IIRC. But it was a raw powerlift and not a bodybuilder so there for i dont count it as a lift.[:D][;)] *Garry Wilson i think he was called somthing like that you powerlifters might no of him??

I train with my bros and another mate, we were doing bench and a guy asked how many sets we had left so i asked if he wanted to jump in. we were doing 115kg for 4 reps. the guy jumped on the bench and repped 160kg for 6. I asked him his PB and he said he had never benched with a spot befor so didn't know. Couldn't believe it

140/160 on the smith machine.its a leisure centre though.did see a kosovan or similar lat raising 28k iirc db's. well done on the pb.

500lbs/227kg. Everyone in the gym stopped to watch the guy. I was about 16 and had just started training, so knew it was good but didn't appreciate just how good - I thought I'd get there in a couple of years [:D]. Haven't seen anyone approaching that level since.

100 kilos, but it wasnt a full rep, my pb of 90 kilos for 2 would have to be the biggest raw bench ive seen, most of the guys at my gym either do pansy weights or half-partials lol.

like 160kg, rarely see over 120kg
