Ok, one more question.. honest..

If Im not in a wifi zone and want to connect with gprs.. how does this work?

Mine wont connect, just says I haven't got edge.. seems to use that as a default...

Due to the excellent rendering in the Safari browser ,the realworld experience of browsing over EDGE/GPRS is not as slow as you might expect - it is certainly usable and far more pleasant that the S60 browser or Opera mini on the N95 etc IME

The iPhone *should* pick up the connection details from the SIM , if it doesn't you can enter them manually -

What network are you on ?

Hmmm,

Seems 1.1.4 removed the option to edit the GPRS/EDGE settings manually

There are some 3rd Party apps that can correct this , but I have absolutely no experience of them -

That said , you are the first person I have heard that has NEEDED to enter them manually - , maybe the settings are correct and something else is the problem (network trouble ?) - you could try a restart (press and hold the button top right untill the "slide to power off" option appears , then press again to power on and that may help the situation

Well, carphone warehouse dude was very upfront about asking me which unlocker I was planning to use when I went in and asked for 2... just nodded in a "nah mate, will do it legit" kinda way...

Unfortunately they would only sell me one, still, got itunes d/led, version updated to 1.1.4, ziphone running, and resultant sim free iPhone listed on ebay...

Shame I need to make some money, as it is a very nice shiny toy...

Tony , You really need to listen to the little voices in your head saying "Keep it .... KEEP IT !!! "

Bundles of £10 notes come and go , but an iPhone is forever

hah, they were tempting, but I need cash ATM...

Looking at the way listings are going, will probably only get £20-30 profit tops. Hey ho!

Hmm, went to check the auction this morning, thought I'd see what others were around it when it came up in a search.... and it didn't!!

Searched under every conceivable keyword, it doesn't come up at all on ebay. Plenty of them either side of when it should be, but not mine... So unless someone manages to guess the item number for searching (as this seems to work), I'm screwed!

I've mailed to complain, but as this is a 5 day listing, and it started on saturday, I'm a bit wary of how things may pan out

I've found this a few times on ebay - once I posted 3 different items at the same time , two of the items were instantly "visable" through the search , whereras one took nearly 24 hrs to appear - I get the impression that that rarer items get added to the search engine almost straight away , but more common items seem to take longer - it's as if they have to enter some kind of queue (lets face it , there are A LOT of iPhones on eBay !!

yes, just a few!!

It's finally gone up now, though by my calculations, during over 40% of the auction time that I have paid for, it wasn't visible in a search... Odds on getting a refund?!??!

Well, five days of wondering why the hell my phone wasn't coming up well in searches, pissing an moaning at the inept ebay assistance, my iPhone is now gone

£245 + £6.99 delivery, pretty tidy mark up for a £169 investment. After fees, etc, still making about £70

Tempted to get another....

ebay was playing around with the search function ALL this month.

they changed the metrics and it's really weird now.

don't know when it finishes.

You what!?! L your AO?! Gibberish and nonsense I tell thee!

Yeah, I think there's gonna be a lot of people annoyed when the new model comes out... but only if there's improvements beyond 3G.

The 16gb ones are going for more sensible prices, odd really - I'm amazed I made such a profit this late on, all good

TF - I ended up finding out that although I've got 100% positive feedback, the fact I don't have an average score of over 3.9 in my star ratings, means I was shown AFTER everyone else. This wouldn't be an issue, bar the fact I've sold so little that I've not had chance to bloody gain points in the star system!!

It was the 4th ebay person I was in contact with who finally helped, other were just telling me "it's all good"...

I did however have fun calling the powerseller line 5 times, and just moaning my ass off about being treated like I wasn't a customer. It was the 5th person I spoke to who pointed me to the live chat help bit..!! That said, "Henry" wasn't much help anyway
