i believe an employer can gain access to your medical history, does this go for all, as in ted the plumber from down the road ? also is it possible to access them yourself,thanks.

they can only do so with permission.
and yes, you can ask to see your records.

you however may or may not be shown all or part of them, as although you are allow access as such the Dr has the power to keep from you your record or part of it if seeing it would mentally or phyiscally harm you.
