Thanks to Kieran at Bodybuilding Warehouse I received a sample yesterday of BSN's Syntha 6 in banana flavour.

http://www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk/syntha-6---291lbs---sustained-release-ultra-premium-protein-powder-matrix-75-p.asp

I decided to have it at 10:30am as a mid morning snack. You could smell the banana flavour through the packet, which i was impressed with as often I have tried other blends in banana and you can not smell the banana at all...so you may as well of bought unflavoured. I have never had a BSN product before so was not sure what to expect.

Opend the packet and poured it in to the scales, the texture of the power seemed very light and the banana smell was very strong.

I then placed it in my blender with 250ml of skimmed milk. I pretty much do all my protein shakes in the blender for a few seconds to ensure there are no little bits that have not mixed properly.

Literally left it in the blender for a few seconds then poured it in to my glass, it seemed again very light texture, however the milk seemed to no of changed colour much i was expecting it to turn a dark shade of yellow after thorooughly mixing it.

Suffice to say it did not stop me from necking it down i was i had took my time i bit more has it was gorgeous reminded me of a banana angel delight so i am glad i mixed it with milk and with the blender! The banana taste was quite strong which i was impressed with, it was not sickly at all it hit the spot perfectly.

If i had not tried this sample i would of never considered buying a BSN product in all honesty but i easy happily surprised. I would probably not have it for PWO but definateley has a shake to have throughout the day to bump up my protein intake. I will definateley look into buying a tub when i get paid, as I have just bought 3 boxes of CNP flapjacks.

Thanks for the review mate, glad you liked it :)

They've really got the flavour down on their protein.

I gave away a couple samples of the syntha in the Intro post mate, because I was very impressed with the flavour and I'd never really seen anything written about it on here before.

If you pop me your address via email (including board name), and promise to do a review on it, I'll send you another sample out :)

The endorush is very good too, have you tried that pre-workout? I actually prefer it to no-xplode but no one tends to try it cos they think it'll be way too expensive - but a bottle's like 3 or 4 servings...so it actually works out at a quid a serving, so about the same as no-xplode, no-shotgun and the rest of them.

Edit: an honest 3 or 4 servings. I have a high tolerance to stims etc, and if i drunk more than half the bottle i'd puke lol.

I've never tried it no mate, as I use things like Eph, 200mg caffeine pills or albuterol as a pre workout stim. I've been busy recently, but will shoot you an email somepoint this weekend about trade prices and what you can offer me. I usually spend around 1000 per month stocking proteins, creatine, mass gainers etc to sell at my gym. I will gladly offer you my custom if the prices are good.

Yes it was very light and fluffy so would easily mix in a shaker which is what anabolic jay did in his review, but as mentioned in mine i do all my shakes in the blender

Yeah defo mixes easy in a shaker. I liked the banana flavour too, but it's strong

I have had samples in all but the Mochaccino and the Cookies and creme flavours.

Has any one used these flavours? As Cookies and Creme flavour can be a bit strange in some brands

Good review btw James21
John.

Cookie & Cream is ok, it does taste like cookie and cream..which is a bonus. I prefer the banana but I think that's because I have a very sweet tooth.

Not tried that one yet mate. Tried Syntha in Choc (nice), cookies n cream (v nice, especially cos different), banana (probably my fave..since it's unusual to find nice banana)...never tried Choc Mint, Moc, or Strawberry. I hear Choc Mint is good though. That'll probably be my next flavour.

Yeah you will not be disapointed with Cho-Mint mate

Strawberry is divine. The best flavour I have ever had in a protein shake.

I might have to try choc mint next then

That's shocking about the strawberry, strawberry is normally a flavour i steer clear of just because it tends to get boring after a while
