I'm at the point now where I reckon I can get back amongst it in the gym Broke my wrist a few weeks ago and it feels ok but don't want to risk going too heavy incase I set myself back revovery wise. I am going insane and sick to death of running / sprints So the question, would you bother going just to do some light training, keep your end in so to speak? Pointless?

I would do what ever the doctor says personaly. Another brake and you will be out even longer. When the doctor says you can get back to lifting I'd start of with light speed work. Speed work will be alot more benefitial than just lifting really light weights in the same way you would heavier ones.

MOST docs will tell you to wait WAY longer then you need to. Go light, if anything hurts drop the weight, even if its baby weight and still hurts then STOP. Any stimulation is good just make sure form is your priority, you want to strengthen the damaged area, not try and make it bigger in its weaken state. I have a friend who just got 8 anchors in his shoulder because he tore all the center mass in his rotator cuff and detached one head of his bicep and he has the best shoulder doc in the country and they guy told him he was the first person to ever have that many anchors and hes healed faster then any other person he's every worked on. Mind you this guy does PT when he's told to, then goes home and does PT about 2-3 more times. Just remember to keep it light and DO NOT PUSH IT until your doc clears you, take it easy for now but be consistent.

Cheers fellas Not the scaphoid mate, can't remember what it was but had some funny name. It's only my little finger knuckle that gives me any discomfort now and it's not a problem in the grand scheme of things Will report back, thanks again
