American Gangster. Best film I've seen this year.
Rise of The Foot Soldier is definitely worth a viewing as well.

Something with Danny Dyer in it. Football factory would be the obvious one, but you've all probably seen that. Rise of the foot soldier is ment to be nuts. I'd go with that.

Rise of the footsoldier? was this considered a good film?
I almost switched it off 30 minutes in. why spend half a film telling a characters story (carlton's) then do bugger all with him for the rest of the film? This is pure bargain bin drivel that's been done a thousand times before.
If I was having a lads night then I wouldn't go for anything that needs watching, just stick a classic action film on that you've all seen before. Every time I've tried watching a new film with friends I end up missing most of the plot through chatting.

surely a bunch of lads would enjoy fightclub nomatter how many times youve seen it ?
thin red line is a great 'army' film
and mabie deer hunter to finish you all off.
