Hi all....

Im wanting to cut now for the summer.. if it ever comes . Ive been on a bulk since just before Christmas. This is my current diet....

5:45 wake

6:15 3 eggs (one yoke) 3 slices of wholemeal bread

9:30 Whey shake with 1 pint of skimmed milk and 3 wheetabix init. apple and melon. 1 multi vit, 2 X EPA soft gel & 1 X Flax soft gel

1:00pm Tuna patsa (approx 100g) OR a 200G micro rice with either tin of tuna or salmon fillet

4:30pm Tuna butties (4 slices whole meal bread), 1X EPA & 1X Flax.

6:00pm Train

7:00pm Protein and dex shake with 3/4pint skimmed milk

8pm Chicken casserole with jacket potatoe OR Tuna pasta (just usually fill mi plate up.. not sure on the weight)

10pm Bed and asleep ready to wake again at 5:45.

If i was to cut would you completly change my diet OR keep it the same but simply add more cardio OR same diet but smaller amounts??

Weight train Mondays, tues, thurs and sat mornings. Play football monday evenings after weight training, and just recently started running on wednesday mornings as I work late shift so get time. Bin doin 20min ish HIIT (sprint the lenght of a footy pitch and jog the other 3 sides then again 5 or 6 times) .. only just started doin this tho.

Rip my diet to shreds if needs be... its the only way ill learn.

Cheers all

Not bad but a few suggestions

1) Can you do early morning unfuelled cardio?

2) Change wholemeal to granary bread

3) Why not change the soft gels to ground linseeds in the 9.30 shake - cheaper and more nutritious?

4) Vary 1.00pm daily and add veg

5) 4.30pm add salad

6) Have something like 1 oatcake and 20g whey 15 mins preworkout

7) 7.00pm - 20g dextrose max and use water

8) 8pm - vary choices

9) 10pm - slow released proteion

Cheers for that.

I dont usually get time for cardio in the mornin except wednesdays but I could get up 30min earlier n do cardio.

Is skipping anygood for you?? I ask because I bought a skipping rope years ago n never used it.

Last thing... the 10pm meal. What would you suggest. I dont like cottage cheese tho which I have read that some people eat at that time. I ate too much of it in one sitting and have never touched it since.

Thanks.

Ideall;y it needs to be long duration - 40mins plus

Sure, but probably better for fitness rather than fat loss, as the pace is a little fast

Quark or low fat natural yoghurt

Cheers for that.

One last thing about the cardio... is it better to do 20-25min of HIIT or 40-50min running at a steady speed??

I think for fat loss the long duration, though the HIIT will be better for fitness too
