This might be a long and silly question so bear with me. Two months ago, I was in the worst shape of my life, hadn't done any exercise of any form for a whole year. Tall, pretty skinny, yet noticeable podgy around the hips and stomach. I decided to start a strength training routine which has been going very well, getting a lot stronger, body is taking shape and lost a decent amount of fat. Yet my fitness is absolutely atrocious but you wouldn't think it from looking at me seeing as I look pretty toned now. Basically I wanted to incorporate some cardio work that was aimed just at improving my fitness , ie my ability to last longer in whatever sport/activities I take part in. Yet at the same time I don't wanna lose any muscle that I have gained, and also fat loss is not a concern at all for me. At the moment, I even get outta breath walking on an uphill road. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance .

do HIIT and ss-cardio make sure you eat enough to get you through the workout like you would with weights and there shouldnt be a problem.

Thanks for your help, mate. I just make sure I stack up on a couple of flapjacks and an energy drink before I go for a jog

yes its not the cardio that dictates fatloss, its mainly the diet

Think of training as a recipe. An omelet tastes better if there's heavy cream in it. But if you put eight ounces of heavy cream in the omelet, then it's not an omelet anymore — it's something else.
