Hi all, After reading Skrewdriver's post it got me thinking. Is there any thing wrong to wake up half way through sleeping and down a shake Whey + Milk and go back to bed? As 9/10 i allways wake up in the night normaly for a pee.

Regards

If you wake up naturally then I think it's fine, but I personally wouldn't set my alarm to wake up half way through the night. Just have one on hand and drink it if you wake up to go to the toilet or whatever.

Ditto above. However I still think it will have little benefit beyond some extra kcals.

I suppose it depends what you want to do; i.e. if you're thinking of competing or anything. I personally don't do this, but my trainer recently told me that even on a weekend I should still have my 7am meal, even if I have to go back to sleep afterwards, rather than having a bit of a lie-in and just adjusting my mealtimes accordingly. Apparently Jay Cutler gets up to eat and train then goes back to bed too.
