Average rappers whos albums sold the most ever, well 2pacs all eyez on me is the best selling to date, and in every internet poll asked whos the best rapper of all time, biggie and 2pac appear in the top 3 everytime.

Some average rappers, clearly for me the best 2 ever by some distance, with the likes of easy e coming in after them.

Fair choice i think we should gather some of the members greatest of all time and then do a poll with a list, but id need to hear other peoples best rappers of all time before starting the poll.

I think both biggie and pac would be in the poll along with Big l Easy E..........

I could name more but my favs are already mentioned.

Yes mate, good idea. I've still got a load of deathrow 12"......... stuff like NWA, Ice Cube (Death Certificate etc). Public enemy (nation of millions)... Still get them out now and again, but people in clubs don't wanna hear that anymore, it's a shame.

It is a shame especially when most of the old skool hip hop is alot better than the new stuff, over the last few years i always find myself listening to old skool hip hop because the new **** gets a bit boring. Not to say none of it is good.

But id love to go to a club and here some old skool hip hop such as you mentioned,it would be nice, instead of hearing the same timbaland tune played 4-5 times during the night.

So do you DJ mate?

Agreed, If i had the know how and the money, I'd open my own small-ish club and cater to classic hip hop, good modern stuff and UK garage.

Yeh I do a bit mate. Got my technics 1210mk5's at home, not many places in swansea do hip hop nights, otherwise i'd do it flat out.

Yeah that would be a good idea and id have to add a bit of garage as well as that was the one i was into a few years ago.

Mark5s,ive still got mk2s. but they still do the job, although i havent used them for a while, but i have alot of garage vinyls from 5-10 yrs ago and have a bit of hip hop,but mostly garage in my collection, but i gave up on the record collecting a few years ago now,as it seems to have turned to cds which is not my style.

There's only two differences on the mk5's.... No dip in the pitch control at 0%, and lowered power on switch (does come in handy when sratching, used to sometimes turn the deck off accidentaly!! ). Their all amazin, and will last 15 years easy. CDJ's are OK for mixin dance (esp. House and Slow techno) but they will never re-create the sound of vinyl.... crisper and bassier. They are also ****, for scratchin. I did buy i pair of CDJ800 but sold em about 3 weeks later.
