any of you lot been in and around trouble for a lot of your life?

have you managed to change your ways and stay out of it,if so how do you deal with idiots from the long gone past turning up and playing all there cards without actually realising theyd been forgotten about?

ive been a target of numbers of idiots as ive gone from youth, admit i can be a clever bastard, always was where the buck stopped.ive been on the end of guns and knives, and people trying to fk with my head for years.

as a result i lashed out at people who gave me the slightest reason to,eg throwing the first punch etc.

ive been trying to keep respectable, stayed off of drugs, out of trouble, etc, but im getting as much retrded **** from people now as i ever have,im aware ive made myself seriously disliked by some people, but im losing my patience tbh.

any advice?

Is moving away from your area an option? It sounds like you want to start a new life and you're finding that hard with the influences and contacts from your past. If simply ignoring them or trying to keep them at a distance isn't working, perhaps starting afresh somewhere else might work well?

Edit: beaten to it, I see

teh best way would be to move away.once your not liked people keep not liking you.alot of people in my village dislike me but these type of people i dont seek approval from they are either alcoholics or drug addicts or a combination of both who go around bullying people outside of the shops so either way they are scum

Some good advice been posted mate. My voice of experience is to move away and re-invent yourself. You don't have to move a million miles so your distant from family and decent friends. Just far enough away to be able to be a different person and have nobody trying to drag you down.

Huge respect to you for doing as much as you have already done. Don't stop now as the hard work has been done, your now onto phase 2 which is living a new life after successfully changing your ways.

I went through a spell of being a mad head doing all sorts of crimes, and ended up with a very bad reputation and lots of jail time. Got released back in 2001 and have only had a few blips within the first couple of years after, but after that i just got my head down.
I'm now living about 20 miles away from where i was last in trouble and i can blend into the background here. Happy going to work, gym and chilling. Easy to make new friends that aren't involved in the old circles that you used to mix in.

If you stay where you are theres always people that can't make progress in their life (jeremy kyle types) and will always be pleased to drag you down when your doing good

Yeah I agree with the moving option

It's what I did years back when I no longer wished to be well known in my local area. Just the easiest thing to do really

Now I am just another guy down the pub
