He suggested that some companies might well have changed their formula. So a product which was high grade might no longer be. Hence the change to other products (esp Isolate) hints. Secondly, why would the 'training 5 days a week' be seen as a good thing. Add to that the 'my diet is spot on' but then says '2-4 drinks a day depending on diet'. That suggests it isn't always as good as it might be. I rarely use 4 shakes a day and I haven't paid for my supps in a very long time. It seems as those stoodio is using these to show how serious he is when in fact he might well be over training and not eating enough real food. They have little or no baring on his wind and or use of iffy protein.

Indeed I have been told by several of our retailers that their customers are complainig that certain Brands taste and mixing has changed dramatically since the price rises, alot of these are imports from across the pond .. I am not surprised .. Wurz

Mobster, if I miss an afternoon snack (which isn't often) I'll nail a shake. Along with 2 scoops mixed in with my oats in the morn, a mid-morning snack, lunch, avo snack + shake before training and one straight after im not doing anything out the ordinary with my current goals in mind. Training 5 days per week is a personal thing - different routines work for different folk. My natural recovery times are pretty good - and before you ask my training is as intense as it can be the majority of the time.

ORIGINAL: stoodio daveo many thanks - good advice. I use Maxi's Cyclone and Promax (yeah I know it costs!) which has pretty minimal levels of Lactose. But could look at something like Re-Flex's micro whey... Why use these expensive branded proteins? Just get unflavoured isolate from MP or all-in-1. You know exactly what's in it then, and you can be sure that no other ingredients are having an effect. If you want the creatine that Cyclone gave you then just buy it loose and add it.

True but I think you'll agree it has little or no relevance to what may or may not be giving you wind.

daveo, thanks again good advice. I use the Creatmax300 to top up the Cyclone anyway! Yeah, defo looking for different whey next time round. My Protein may be worth a shot, will have a look and see what they got. Any you recommend? Yeah jingaro, it's a combination of everything I think, but in my case the fartin is pretty excessive!

If you see my previous post - I was just advised to use Maximuscle products by trusted friend who's been at it for 15 years+ and has tried everything on the market. He wasn't somebody to argue with as he's built like a brick wall (all natural) and stands at 6ft6 - and swears by the Maxi stuff for flavour and results... results which i personally cannot argue with either - incredible. But im up for changing to see what effect (if any) it has on the GAS!!

Is excessive protein-smelling farting an indication that you're consuming too much protein? I was wondering this the other day.

But im up for changing to see what effect (if any) it has on the GAS!! From experience in the industry I can bet that your current problem stems directly from lactose. Try a pure whey protein isolate, perhaps just a small 909gm tub to start with, to see if it works. But make sure it its a pure isolate, as already mentioned when prices went up last year numerous products on the market have changed for the worse. Look for guarantees. If it does cure you problem then you've isolated the problem and kept your fit girlfriend! Obvviously the product you mention contains creatine, so you might want to consider adding a pure creatine powder to your diet.

RELFEX - Very assuring post and really appreciate it. I think you're right as a few have mentioned it here. Will do exactly what you suggest to be fair so thanks again. I thought this was probably going to be the route.

At the end of the day, it's the same ingredients. It's like saying that you'll get bigger if you eat red chickens than brown ones.

I had this problem I tried many protein powders, but have swicthed to isolate whey which is ok I use Reflex Micro Whey, only down side is price but it def works. Only time I take this is in the morning and after training, rest of the time I eat food has main source. Also I noted egss gave me wind as well so I don't have these everyday.
