If you're gaining ~0.5lb a week, you're eating enough food.

HI get bigger, i noticed you mentioned why with water, i sussect you mean whey protein powder, well as a professional myself i have used supplments both legal and illigal, However now and for the past 6 years i have not touched any supplement but Creatine, this is because; Your body is not designed to intack huge amounts of protine such aas whey, Therefor you will be pissing it all out anyway, however tuna, 1 tin of tuna is just over the same amount of protine found in one shake, therefor just buy lots of tuna to supplement the supplement! .

Also you may have considered steroids an dvarious other supplements that have good effects on size, but let me tell you, you will not apreciate your seze when you don' even know what day it is, steroids probably don't have long term effects on all people, but they deffinatly have terrable effects that take place as soon as you get involved.

So yes you are eating enough (you could just supplement the supplemen though) but with bear minimum body building, you will still loose a lot of weight, so when ever your hungery dont weight for the next meal just have one then aswelll.

If you have any more questions ask me, A Professional.

A Professional.

A professional what?

No proof that whey isn't digested/body can't handle it.
Your talk about steroids confused me.

Get_bigger,
If your gaining weight its enough food.

lots of chicken there, try and mix it up the protein, like 4-5 egg omlette, steak, turkey breasts, tuna

50g of whey isn't a "huge" amount and excess protein isn't pissed out, so back to college for you! I also took the liberty of correcting all of your spelling mistakes in the above quote.

im no expert but i think you need more fats? i usually aim for 15g of fat per meal, 40g of protein and around 60g of carbs. Dunno if that is excess but seems to be going good for me.

am i right that any more than 50g of protein is too much? Define "protein". Whey on its own is absorbed differently to meat, poultry, fish, eggs & cheese. and so what is the limit for carbs? There is no limit. It's Calories that count. i'm trying to keep the carbs at the same level as the protein is this right?? It depends on your goals, activity & particular metabolism so it's impossible to say.

ok, is more than 50g to much for whey protien and/or food sources??

so i can add as much carbs as i like to each meal to get the right amount of calories for my day??

as for the protein carbs ratio, if i up the carbs should i up the protein?

ok, is more than 50g to much for whey protien Probably. and/or food sources?? No.

as for the protein carbs ratio, if i up the carbs should i up the protein? Daily protein intake should be held fairly constant and at a level which depends on your goal.

i have a sedentary life so would you say my carb levels are ok?? or should i just maintain the same amount of carbs for a few weeks and if i start to gain more fat then muscle i should lower the carbs, ie play it by ear??

also should me diet be alot less carbs on non training days or just keep it all the same?

If you keep proteins & fats fairly constant and vary your carb intake depending on training, that varies your Calorie intake between training & non-training days.
