Anyone take a quark shake to work?

I can't stand it on it's own, but I don't mind it as a drink with some options in there.

I'm getting really fed up of chicken and tuna, and don't want to rely too much on whey, so I wondered what a Quark shake would be like for work. I'm just thinking of ways of getting some liquid cals in me as I haven't got the time or appetite to be eating all day at work.

Say I blend it the night before, stick it in the fridge, it sits in my car for 2 hours (drive 30 miles to where I work, gym, then work), and it goes in the fridge at work. Or maybe I should get a cool bag?

It'll need a shake up before I drink it, but will it be ok?

Quark won't go off in 2 hours so it's fine.

Hopefully it'll still taste ok and not seperate from the milk?

I think a cool bag is worth investing in for the summer too!

I don't think seperation will be a problem as you can just give it a shake.

Quark does tend to go sour quickly though, so with a 2 hour drive in summer i wouldn't be sure it's gonna taste so nice. Should be OK in a cool bag though.

Hello mate

If you get bored of the Quark and Options shake, you might wanna invest in Muscle Menu's Shakes, Bars and Smoothies e-book. It's got a number of recipes for Quark based shakes, I've tried a few and they are really nice - full nutritional breakdown provided.

Go to www.muscletalk.co.uk/bodybuilding-shakes-bars-smoothies.aspx, costs about £10.
