Just looking at the poll and so far according to MT members who have voted BNP are more popular than the Lib Dems. Just hope it isn't indicative of Londoners.

For those that don't know you get two options when you vote. You vote for your favourite and then you vote for a backup. I voted Conservative favourite and BNP second favourite

Racist Nazi scum. Why? I would quite like to see them do well, not because I hate immigrants or different cultures but because if they do well it signals to the Government that something is far far wrong in this country and a tougher stance needs to be taken on immigration. I nearly p1ssed myself laughing watching Question Time last night when Ken Livingstone said that the BNP should not have been invited on to BBC 1 due to "the increase in racial violence when they arrived in London in the 90's" This is the same Ken Livingstone that openly supported the IRA during the 80's! and who was Labours link with Sinn Fein during thr troubles of Northern Ireland. He cited 5 racial killings in London during the 90's as linked to BNP supporters or activity, the IRA murdered well over a thousand people.

I know a Sikh man and a black woman who have confided in me that they intend to vote BNP.

I didn't see that bit, Supremo, but it is typical of Ken and the left. It seems that those who murder people in suicide bombings are brainwashed victims of the extremists clerics, and youths who murder people in street gang violence are victims of tory policies in the 80s. It seems that the only people who can do wrong and are not victims are in the BNP or support the BNP. Welcome to the bizarre world of the left and Ken Livingstone. Last time I voted BNP first and Tory as my second choice. This time I will vote Tory just to get rid of Ken, but I hate all the mainstream parties.

The left get away with murder. I remember Diane Abbot on BBC1 saying that she admired murderers Stalin and Moa. They were as bad as Hitler but because they are seen as fashionable murders nobody cared about her comments. :/

Its apparent that its ok for some in politics/media to support the use violence as long as your cause is flavour of the month and supported by left leaning thinkers.

ORIGINAL: jango I know a Sikh man and a black woman who have confided in me that they intend to vote BNP. Of course you do. Hard to believe isn't it? The irony of it is completely lost on them. It's actually not that uncommon to find people who come from second or third generation immigrant backgrounds who feel that mass immigration/migration has become an important and worrying issue. The Sikh guy is a gas installer who has recently done the landlord gas safety checks on a brand new block of housing association flats in London. This block has more than fifty flats, and he commented that not one of the properties he entered was inhabited by a person/people with English as a first language. Seeing as he has been born and bred in this country, he feels it to be unfair that people from other lands are given these properties over those who have lived and worked here all their lives. The Black woman is someone who simply loathes Muslims. Her words to me were "You cannot have people who worship Hallelujah happily living next to people who worship Allah". I do not believe that either of these people would actually like to see the BNP get any real power, but they, like many others, feel that the levels of immigration that this country has seen for the last decade or so have been in the best interests of big business (cheap labour etc) rather than the people of this country. When none of the major political parties are willing to deal with these legitimate concerns, and instead wax lyrical about "The marvels of multiculturalism" and "The joys of diversity", people become desperate, and desperate people often do strange things and irrational things.

John kerr, maybe you should listen to Jango and learn something. I have the same experience with blacks who loathe muslims. In one case it was an African who told me too many muslims were being allowed in and that Europe was committing suicide. He was a former muslim himself. I also used to work with a Pakistani Muslim guy who lived in Tower Hamlets and told me he could not live with blacks because they were not civilised. He wanted to move to Canada, although I don't know if he ever got there. None of the above is news to me because I grew up in a "multicultural" area and always knew it was a load of bollo**s. Anyway, in relation to the mayoral election, I still think Boris would be too scared to voice any opposition to multiculturalism even if he does have his doubts about it. Since he's cowardly about immigration it wouldn't surprise me.

Blacks were thought of as far far worse than whites etc
