Perhaps not to treat Jango's opinions with such sceptecism when he has genuine experience of multicult nonsense.

As someone from an Asian background born here I can absolutely understand there has to be a limit to immigration and I can understand why some people vote BNP because to them they feel they are being overlooked. I don't believe all who vote for the BNP are necessarily outright racists just frustrated ordinary people. Do you feel it is right in genuine cases where someone is being persecuted from another country to come over here to seek refuge? I would imagine that a fair percentage of people are fairly heartless and couldn't care less.

However, the BNP "in my opinion" are hardly a credible party what with a track record of the people who run the party and some of the members themselves as uncovered by countless undercover programmes in the past.

As for the Asian and black people you know who don't feel they couldn't live side by side with other ethincities, well I pity them. Because if that's how they feel then I doubt that they like living alongside anyone including white folk here.

I personally hope that a mayor with commonsense is elected and who isn't afraid to speak on the issue of immigration. And I for one would not be so stupid as to label any person white, black or other who brings up such an issue as racist. To me that person is a realist.

[/quote]

Hard to believe isn't it?

The irony of it is completely lost on them.

It's actually not that uncommon to find people who come from second or third generation immigrant backgrounds who feel that mass immigration/migration has become an important and worrying issue.

John Kerr is a left wing,Guardian reading Sandinista who believes he is intellectually superior to many members here, and is always right. He refuses to accept someone else may be right.

This is what happens when someone believes his own hype.

Pretty much.

Alternatively, consistent posting with an elitist attitude will make you look a fool.

Personally I believe Ken's heart is in the right place and that he's got a good handle on how the system works. He's brought in some real cuts in the price of public transport which makes life easier for those who don't earn much. His choice of associates seems to be where people object to him most.

That's a fair point Mouser. I think he has set a precedent in terms of Transport, prices, cycle lanes etc. but it's his left wing politics that I can't stand - Jasper, extremist clerics, and even using 7/7 as a platform for his pro immigration agenda.

If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything.

Come back when you've got something worthwhile to say.

You throw around a lot of snide remarks in these sorts of threads, John. It's very rare that you actually state something of worth, or express your thoughts in way that shows you want to engage with people. If you tried, you would could really add to a good debate. Away from debates, you're a good poster, but in a thread like this you're often no more than a supercilious troll.

Rubbish.

I don't toe the right-wing line, so I'm attacked on a personal level. There's no point in engaging in debate with people who call 'troll' whenever they can.

depends on what 'constitutes' worthwhile. I'm generally bound by the topics on here,as you are, and most of the time there isn't actually anything worth talking about here. Much like you, its easier talking rubbish

What are you here for then?

You don't post anything worth reading, you don't find any of the topics worth talking about.

Why do you bother?

Do you mean MT as a whole, or just General, but that could be a bit controversial!!

Have to admit that before starting this poll I thought that it would be for first place either Brian Paddick or maybe Ken Livingston and then in 3rd place Boris Johnstone. If MT is indicative of Londoners then looks like it will be Boris for the next four years.

If this poll is indicative of Londoners, then London would seem to be packed out with racists.
