sorry i didnt explain very well, say for example i was on the exercise bike and did 20 mins if i wore more clothes or something to make me sweat more would this burn more fat? if that makes sense[:)]
also my friend told me that they know a boxer that wears a bin bag( yes a bin bag[:D] ) and does loads skipping while pouring with sweat , so there would be no point?
running on a treadmill with a weighted vest is another way to increase calorie expenditure, even if it's very small
i would feel a t1t doing cardio in anything but my lycras

I wear a sweat suit sometimes, it just gets you used to working out in conditions where your more dehydrated and it will get you hotter alot quicker and get your heart rate up quicker.

O and cardio is basically how long you can go on for e.g. for the marathon i was doing alot of cardio work (obviously i lost weight too) and will ensure you can run longer and stuff (works your heart more) but fat burn is just to get rid of fat, won't really make you fitter.
If a boxer needs to meet a weight limit they will sweat out a few lbs for the weigh-in.... the weight soon goes back on tho.
Intense cardio does burn fat just not at such a high %age calories burned but I don't worry too much, just enjoy your cardio, who's to say that if you train intensely and burn more calories the lower %age of fat may still be a higher real figure when all is done and dusted.
cheers for replies will go for 40-60 mins as col says [:)]

Its more enjoyable running in the open than it is on a tredmill and its also better for you running in the open. When training for the marathon i hated running in the gym so forget your gym memebership for going for a run, take a nice 40, 50 min run outside.
if you are wearing a sweat suit( bin bag) you will be working at a higher temperature, therefor making the workout more intense, i wouldn't wear a sweat suit myself, nor would i wear lycras even
