Are you interested in tested or non tested comps?

Different federations, shouldn't be any difference in approach, all feds will require you become a member a certain length of time before competing. Regarding whether you can only compete in the area you live also depends on the fed. Nabba you can only compete in your area unless by special permission, other feds as far as I'm aware allow you to compete anywhere. If you can make it to Bangor or can contact Eric Dowey at Sports Connection Gym, Dufferin Avenue, Bangor, he'd be only too delighted to help you out and I'm sure he will not mind whatever fed you want to compete with

hi hench, if we can, we'll help you all you need. There is the 2 shows in march, the nabba and wabba shows, then there'll be the ukbff show in august. Also there may be the natural federation show which may be in august too. You can contact myself, or Malika who along with Dave Fox could give you all the advice needed to compete. Another member on here halfaloaf" who is Alister Smith could help you too, although he isnt on often. Anyway, ask anything you want and we''l all try our best to help you out mate, Steve Graham.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the reply. I was just looking for a person to advise me on weather it would be possibe for me to enter a comp next year or the year after and if so the best way to go about it. im 19 about 5,10 15 stone about 16-20% bf. I have asked a few guys over the net but they all suggested that i go and see someone who knows about the comps over here and get advice from them as they can see what shape i am in/progress. Thanks.

Hench, based on what you've said to Steve, Eric will certainly critique your physique and point you in the right direction. Eric organises monthly meet ups for the BNBF at which all are welcome to attend. Last month we had the fortune of Malika, Dave and Andi Black attending to help out. If you can get yourself to the gym on any of these dates May 4th ........ 18th ....... and 25th. June 1st, Eric has offered to be there to help out. Not sure whether the other guys will be able to make it and I sure if you get in touch with Eric he'd be happy to see you whenever he's at the gym regardless. (If you've never met the guy then be prepared to meet one of the nicest guys in the field and someone to look up to )
