ORIGINAL: Raskolnikov Currently about half way through Charles Dickens's The Old Curiosity Shop. It's pretty good so far. Might start Nicholas Nickleby next I flicked through that in WH Smith's today and I'm wishing I had bought it now, but put it down because the text was too small. It's the same with the last classic I dared to pick up.. Rebecca. . I haven't read Rebecca, was it any good? quote:
ORIGINAL: T_Dawg Jack Fiction : A Confederacy of Dunces - John Kennedy Toole Great read, very funny novel Ignatius J Reilly has to be one of the funniest and absurd literary creations I've come across Alright Dan? Yes, it's had me in stitches after only the first couple of chapters!. (Oh and i'll update my journal soon explaining my absence!)

Currently reading Argos Catalogue Spring/Summer 2008. Not really much different from their last one though. Seriously though, am reading The Stand by Stephen King. And if you want a good fantasy you need to read Mervyn Peakes' Gormenghast trilogy. Also try reading Magician by Raymond Feist. Don't forget David Eddings as well either.

Ooooh Rebecca is ace!! Another couple of books I've loved which have been mentioned so far are The Kite Runner and The Time-Traveller's Wife. I've got two on the go as usual: Piers Morgan's latest diaries for a bit of gossipy trash, and the Golden Notebook by Doris Lessing for something a bit worthier. p.s. I hate Charles Dickens more than anything (except Oliver Twist and Great Expectations, which I quite liked). He's up there with twee predictable Jane bloomin' Austen for me.
