"the Kite Runner" by some Afghan writer.

That's by Khaled Hosseini - I've just finished his 2nd book - "A Thousand Splendid Suns" ... good read

Oh god that was good; even better than The Kite Runner I thought. I actually had to stop myself from blubbing at one point as I was on a packed train.

Cell By Steven King. Only a doesen or so chapers in and I've not made my mind up about it yet. Ive got John Grishams "Innocent Man" on standby just in case I cant read Cell.

Did not think much of Cell,or the one after,i forget the title.King has gone off the boil these days.Used to be excellent.

The Grisham one is not bad.His first non-fiction book.

I'm reading the Dreaming Void by Peter Hamilton. It's first part of a trilogy and I just found out the other two parts won't be ready until 2009 and 2010. Bugger.

Aye, King hasn't been the same since his accident in 1999.

However I thought 'Hearts in Atlantis' was good which was published in 2001 IIRC.

IT, Salem's Lot and The Shining are is his best work IMO.

I also had an altercation with the coffin at the same funeral, although it didn't look like a coffin to me. An easy mistake to make in my opinion.

Started reading a new book at work today.

Blood River by Tim Butcher.

It's about a journalist who trys to recreate Henry Morton Stanley's expedition down the Congo in search of Dr. Livingstone in the late 19th Century.I do enjoy a good travel book.
