Hi Guys..........

I've had a serious problem in my right shouler since January(had pain in both shoulders long before ) Being subacromial bursitis as well as biceps tendonitis ( indepth ultra sound diagnosis ),
It's stopped me resistance training altogether apart from the advice of my physio, I intend to get back to the orthopedic specialist this week as i'm suffering yet another flare up/ set back.

One thing that I think isn't helping recovery is my knackered mattress, does any one have advice on a good mattress which might help or at least not make my shoulder worse , I can sleep on my back but sometimes turn onto my side which soon wakes me up cos of the ache.

I'm also thinkiing of changing physio as the flares up have only occured after attending a session , i'm not sure this physio is experienced to dealing with some one with muscle bulk . I only ever see old ladies in there !!!!
it's pilates based but i've realised there's not been any rotator cuff work which from i read last night is the road to recovery.

So ok Please anyone reply with any advice /experience of tendonitis/bursitis and a suitable mattress ...

much apreciated Jezzer

If your shoulder's playing up *after* a session with the physio, that's definitely not a good sign

Maybe try to track down a sports physio, who should be more clued up

Not sure about the mattress though. If it's knackered then I imagine it certainly won't be helping. I've always thought that a decent mattress should be firm - not rock hard, but firm enough so that you haven't sunk into an awkward position
