I have been chatting to a few guys at my gym and they have recently recommended that use protein shakes!? I'm 20 years old, 16.5 stone and workout 4 times a week with 2 cardio sessions. Plus I play rugby during the week too!! I have never used protein shakes or anything for that matter! But I think that a protein shake could aid my protein intake and benefit my training? I would like to know if there are any side effects to these products, I only want to use something natural with no substances etc, just pure protein! I am thinking of using the Holland & Barrett Natural Whey Protein 908g? These are the details.Holland & Barrett Natural Whey Protein Any ideas on the best product? Is whey protein better then just protein, and how much should I be taking a day is it 1.5g to 1kg body weight? Anyone know if from Adonis Nutrition if the Whey Protein Concentrate 80% Protein is any good? I think I'm heading towards either Whey Portein Isolate (NZ) or Impact Whey Isolate from MyProtein has anyone got any feedback on any of this? |
