What's the best time to take creatine and glutamine? I have read that they are best taken with some simple carbs in order to help absorption. In the past, I have usually taken it (1/2 tsp of each) in water, morning and night (or in my post-lifting protein drink instead of at night if on a lifting day) because that is convenient and I don't usually eat much simple carbs, other than post-lifting. I have read that creatine is stored in the muscles, so does the timing really matter as long as I take it consistently? Or would taking it right before and after lifting make it more available? Also, what do people thing about taking a break from it for a week every few months? Necessary or not? Any special considerations regarding glutamine, or do the same considerations apply? Thanks for any advice.
