Glad to hear it guys

Notes:

We've got 3 Cherry & Almond left out of the Promo stock - however we've got tons of Chocolate Orange, and a bit of Chocolate.
When we run out of the Cherry, any orders for that, we'll email you and ask you how you'd like the rest split - Choc / Choc Orange. We'll run this deal till all the promo stuff is gone :)

cherry & almond are the worst ones! lol

thought if anything u'd run out of choc orange 1st

so did I, they're my favourites, hence why we bought double the choc orange over everything else lol :)

Flapjacks contain hydrolysed collagen and I know this is from animals. But does anyone know if it is collagen from pork, beef or fish?

If it's fish I'll get some but not if it's pork or beef.

Thanks

there might be mate, if there isn't we'll just email you and ask what you'd like to replace it with. only 3 boxes were left at midday-ish...so i doubt any cherry, but loads of choc orange.

Yep already dropped them an email but they won't be back till after the bank holiday and so websites offers will have ended by then which is why I thought I'd ask round.

Also Adil from my little research I understand that hydrolysed collagen could come from pork, beef or fish. So if you don't eat pork to be on the safe side find out for yourself too.

Hi mate I ask Kerry this a few days ago and he said

"because of the consistancy of the bar, we use collagen protein which is derived from the connective tissure of bovine meat as a binder"

Hope this helps.

John.

Cheers John

I'll have to keep my eye out on good deals for other protein bar/flapjack deals.

No probs mate.

You could look at the Boditronics bars which are on offer here and they don't use collagen or gelatin

As they are certified halal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halal). Pigs cannot be halal. Fish and beef/cow can be though

There's also the Vyomax Flapjacks. Bit high in calories / fat for cutting, but they're VERY natural. The guy who makes them (I met him at a Manchester Food Seminar thingy...), does it in only a semi-automated facility, using good quality ingredients, and I think they were being considered for Asda as one of those "local produce" companies at the time. I don't know whatever happened to that, but I know the ingredients list is mostly stuff you find in your cuboard.

Downside is that they have a relatively high % fat & cals per bar, but if you're just looking for bars to snack on during a hectic day...tis worth a look.

Thai - I actually found out through my gym. The CNP distributor for gym's in my area gave my gym a halal certificate. I phoned up CNP though, just to be sure. It also applies to their other bar 'Pro-XS'
