Flapjacks contain hydrolysed collagen and I know this is from animals. But does anyone know if it is collagen from pork, beef or fish? If it's fish I'll get some but not if it's pork or beef. Thanks H

Yep already dropped them an email but they won't be back till after the bank holiday and so websites offers will have ended by then which is why I thought I'd ask round. Also Adil from my little research I understand that hydrolysed collagen could come from pork, beef or fish. So if you don't eat pork to be on the safe side find out for yourself too. quote:

Thanks H Hi mate I ask Kerry this a few days ago and he said "because of the consistancy of the bar, we use collagen protein which is derived from the connective tissure of bovine meat as a binder" Hope this helps. John.

No probs mate. You could look at the Boditronics bars which are on offer here and they don't use collagen or gelatin http://www.bargain-supplements.co.uk/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=82&products_id=1167

Thai - I actually found out through my gym. The CNP distributor for gym's in my area gave my gym a halal certificate. I phoned up CNP though, just to be sure. It also applies to their other bar 'Pro-XS'
