Hi all, im Gaz from S.Wales. Thought id introduce myself on the forums - I have been scouring them for about a year on and off. I have been training for about 2 years fairly seriously and a year or so on and off before that. I’m 24 years old - started at 11 stone - now weigh in at 14.6 stone - so some good gains :) Just completed a 6 week cycle of the 20 rep squat - seems to work well for me with regards gaining mass -ended on 20x 115Kg not bad as I started the cycle on 85KG x 20. Am now starting a 4 day split 5x5 routine for 6 weeks or so. Chest/Bi's Legs Off Shoulders/tri's Back Off Off Diet - I have never really been religious with calorie counting TBH...just stick to basics - eaten often throughout the day with protein & slow carbs with meals. Diet wise for me the next 6 weeks my main goal is to consume more water! For some reason I find it really hard to do.... I used to have 1Ltr when I get up then sip 2ltr throughout the day then 1 Ltr during training - Guess ive just got lazy! Would like to slowly cut - I can see a 6 pac first thing in the morning - well a 4 pack at least! Soon as I try and cut I loose strength which really puts me off as for me it’s about gaining strength really I guess - my targets are all weight related! Slowly and surely though is the way forward I hear! Anyways hope to maybe make some sort of useful contribution on hear at some point... Gaz

Program sounds good, although my british stone-wright conversion is not up to par, that is a nice weight gain if you have stayed lean. I'm also new, and just like you have used this site as a reference book for a bit. Good luck!

Welcome to MT mate I like the look of your split and it sounds like you've made some great gains I'm tempted to give these 20 rep squats a go at some point, they sound quite brutal

Brutal isnt the word mate, honestly on the 115KG for 20 after 8 reps i was hammered.. It took so much will power to continue, got to the 20th Rep after that dropped it onto my squat rack and collapsed on the floor for about 5 min i was ruined! Thanks for the welcome guys...
