then take this time to practice self control, just because the road is open it doesnt mean something or someone isnt going to suprise you and cause an accident. i love nothing more than hitting the gas but the fear of killing someone through my selfish actions makes me exercise self control. those with selfish attitudes (you in this case, admit it) love to only think of their pleasure and not of the possible conseqences. ever see the advert with the kid who is 'put back together' after being hit by a car? think of that

Apollo, your not exactly Paris Hilton.... You have a bit of cash, big deal, from your FATHER, who own's a CHIPPY!? So do you even work? In the real world I mean, not over a your father's sweaty, greasy chips. You have the most un-glamorous persona of anyone in the western world.

apollo you do not help yourself with your attitude, are you seriously 24??? i wish my dad had bought me a shiny new audi, im not having a dig here but i would rather write off a car me dad had spent £13,000 odd on then the car i spend £5000 on if the worst i ca nexpect is a dig off the old man i get worse then this at work every weekend the one thing i said when i passed was go 12 months (as it was then) without crashing or getting banned you got caugh, deal with it i got a 900cc 12 year old fiesta for my first car, it cost me £450 and the insurance was £1500 on very low mileage (insured in cheshire) this price came down with my first year of no claims to £850 about 7 years later i am 23 with a 1.6 zetec focus insured on a bolton postcode with six points im paying £1000 again with SEVEN years no-claims (protected) the car cost me £10,500 i paid ALL of it upfront, add this to the cars inbetween some comments may be because daddy bought you a car that you dont seem mature enough to drive, others may be because of your "im the victim" attitude i was pissed off when i got my points, i thought the second 3 were harsh but i was pissed off with ME quote:
1 to 2 months Ill have my licence back and still be driving a nice car and the insurence going up wont harm me cos Ive got plenty cash so forgive me if Im not one bit bothered by the crap Im reading from some people here. right as it seems i am being hinted as a member who is having a dig at apollo, i like him but he has a knack of posting stuff that will obviously wind people up and then playing the victim, i am glad he is back but at the end of the day i have money, and theres people on here who earn what apollos dad earns in a month in a day so if his dad has so much money why did he only get a 1.6 audi a3 and why is he lettign daddy pay his insurance, does his mum still dress him???

his dad bought him an audi im not sure who paid the insurance but it was a brand new audi a3 (if i recall) he has now effectively been banned and is the victim as the whole world is against him he says he is 24 i do not believe this from his attitude and feel a little bit scared he is allowed behind the wheels of a machine that can kill if driven properly and can definately kill if driven improperly he disappeared off here for a bit because he leaves himself open making daft posts and seems immature but also (if it is possible on the t'interwebnet) seems to try and look down on people as he batters fish at the top of the career ladder

He must be over 19 i reckon because insurance on a new A3 would be ridiculous if he was any younger. If he has one at all, he is probably just talking out of his *rse. justice in my opinion! i save up long and hard to buy my car and he just gets given a better one. (maybe im just jealous) but i would hate being fed with a silver spoon (more like platinum spoon by the sounds of it)

I think that this thread and apollo's MT saga in general has demonstrated perfectly that being spoon-fed by your parents ultimately does not do you any favours in the long run. I mean look at this guy. His emotional maturity (bearing mind he is 24, not a teenager) makes pigeon warrior look like a well-adjusted adult. His world view has been perpetually skewered by not having to invest fore-thought and good ol'fashioned hard work into his existence. Ultimatley I feel sorry for the lad.

Good point, i once knew a chap whose mum paid 15k for insurance for him on a impreza when he was 17. Having said that she was driving round in a different ferrari every week! Young people with nice cars dont impress me i just think "you flashy git" you will probably crash it within a year.
