is it worth it to lock out deadlifts for the final contraction of the "christmas tree," as if you were doing biceps or a bench routine, or is it a better idea to keep the muscles under constant tension and go 7/8 or 9/10 of the way up? I have heard it argued both ways, and they both seem to make sense. I am looking for 50% strength/power and 50% look/bodybulding here, meaning my goals. thanks.

Your right it can be argued both ways, if you shifting alot of wieght i would always tend to lock out. However if your pre-fatiguing the back lighter weights with constant tension would be better imo mate. The way i play it is high reps i dont lockout, low reps i do.
