Hello all, wanted to show my face to the community first off rather than start posting in other forums. I am a student in the USA majoring in Anthropology/Religion. I am an AAAI/ACSM certified personal trainer, and I have been lifting for 5 years now.
My idol has always been Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Unfortunately, cardiovascular sports and conditioning workouts have impeded my growth tremendously (rugby & swimming).

As I have the time now, I am focusing completely and ultimately on improving my size and strength. I have been thinking of doing some powerlifting soon.

My measurements:

Age: 18
Height: 5'10" or 177.8 cm
Weight: 179 or 81.2 KG
Approximate Bodyfat: 12%

Chest: 44" or 112.5 cm (weakness)
Biceps: 15" or 38 cm
Waist: 34" or 86 cm
Thighs: 25" or 63.5 cm (strength)
Calves: 16.5" or 42cm

Bench: 75 KG 3x8, approximate 1RM 95 KG
Deadlift: 160 KG 1RM
Squat: 150 KG 1RM

Cheers

is it worth it to lock out deadlifts for the final contraction of the "christmas tree," as if you were doing biceps or a bench routine, or is it a better idea to keep the muscles under constant tension and go 7/8 or 9/10 of the way up? I have heard it argued both ways, and they both seem to make sense. I am looking for 50% strength/power and 50% look/bodybulding here, meaning my goals. thanks.

Your right it can be argued both ways, if you shifting alot of wieght i would always tend to lock out.

However if your pre-fatiguing the back lighter weights with constant tension would be better imo mate.

The way i play it is high reps i dont lockout, low reps i do.
