Well I'm back home now having lived a year away under a coconut palm. I thought I'd take £20 with me and buy some seeds, nuts and some tuna. I got to the till and to my shock horror "That will be £25.85 please?". I'm like "er I only bought £20, guess the food prices must have soared up!". So with my tail between my legs, I bought 70% of what I set out to buy. I'd like to know where do you guys and gals go for: Salmon Tuna Linseeds Veg Nuts

Salmon - if I get it, ASDA Tuna - Costco Linseeds - ethnic shops - Nige swears by pet stores as the cheapest though, I keep forgetting to try! Veg - ASDA Nuts - ethnic shops or ASDA Tesco isn't as pricey as Sainburys to be fair. We sometimes just shop in Sainsburys so that there's less pushing through chavs and rude immigrants, occasionally worth the extra spend...

I find Sainsburys pretty good for chicken and their own brand tuna is cheap as chips in the four packs

I've only been in a couple of times (for noodles...) - so didn't rake through the shelves. Any of the Indian ones in that vacinity will defintely have them. Yeah, what what that place called - Ford Green or something? Since it got shut down, loads of scrutters come up to The Roundhay and cause havoc. Last time we were there it was evacuated so that the police could grab a load of them... yey!

I've been buying & eating them from a petshop for yrs, depends whether you worry about that sort of stuff. If it's good enough for a parrot without dropping off its perch, then they're good enough for me.

What KK said. Petfood has to be safe for consumption so there's never going to be anything poisonous in it. A few random bits of flax plant won't hurt ya. If you get any bugs & grubs, that's extra protein!
