Does anyones wrists hurt after a workout that day or the next. Always after things like press ups and bench press for me. I see some people wearing stuff around their wrists would this help much?

i have aching wrists after heavy presses, i bought some neoprene wrist straps that have a velcro wrap on the outside.

you can pick some up off ebay, since using them my wrist pain has ceased

like these but better quality

As above

But also make sure that when you lift your wrists are straight in line with your forearms and not bent back as i have seen some lifters do, this is the biggest cause of wrist pain in my experience as i used to suffer with it

develop proper form holding the bar, wrist straps will not aid in helping you overcome your problem, stick with it with out the straps and the sorness will subside as the wrists get stronger

Strange, because for me, the left feels more comfortable.

cheers scruffy, i dont use the straps that often, but when i do it helps so much, i bench alot so its hard toget good form on wrists. as it struggles to take the weight and easiest to rest it when bent.
when i do chest on fri ill concertrate on form on my wrists.
surpose me breaking my wrist 3-4 years ago wont help it

It's important not only for wrist health but because it makes the transfer of force to the bar a lot more efficient

I find squeezing the bar tight while benching helps maintain the correct position
