Does anyone here do tabata intervals everyday?? I box and have been using tabata to keep my weight down and to improve my endurance and so far Im really pleased with the results. Everyday I do 8 rounds of hitting a wagon tyre with a sledge hammer followed straight away by 8 rounds of step-up's onto the tyre.

What are peoples thoughts on this? Too much? Too little, step it up a bit?

I see a lot of people recommend only doing tabata once a week or even once every 2 weeks! why is this? is it possible to do to much and by doing it everyday the body will become used to it and make it useless?

Have a look in the articles section there is an article by Drewsky.

I think the general option is once a week is enough anymore and you may overtrain.

I have to agree, good article worth a read.

I have been doing HIIT for a while now as well as steady state so for a 48 yo i am fairly fit.
I have just started to do these and i find that once a week would be ample.

I think once a week is not enough. At least thrice in my opinion, although it is safe to say that I don't have a clue what I'm talking about.

Twice per week post workout suits me fine

I have seen it done daily but that is too much for me.

3 variations of what I do.

The last is the most extreme and mearly an experiment on my part.
