Unflavoured whey Powdered oats (supermarket brand ready brek) Supermarket brand angel delight. The cheapo ready brek is cheaper than buying powdered oats from bulk suppliers. The cheapo angel delight is 3p a packet and makes 4 servings that tastes like branded protein powder. It works out at about 40p a portion. There are more healthy bulking shakes, there are more rounded bulking shakes, but this is IMO the cheapest you will get.

In practical terms, there's not really any difference. That shake looks fine. You're only having it once or twice a day right?

Does blending or grinding the oats down into a powder make it easier to mix??? Whenever i have used Oats in the past they have been whole, and made the shake slimey!! if not, this looks like a decent mrp for someone on a budget!!! :) Cheers JP

Hence why i said use powdered oats (supermarket brand ready brek). They mix into a shake without even needing to blend.

Cool, in that case ill give it a go, mixed with milk, 100g powdered oats, 50g protein i think you'd be knocking back about 700-850kcals per shake at less that £1 per serving, bargain!! Cheers JP

They're good, but i've found they make shakes a bit gritty.

I started my bulk and had the shake today. It weren't too bad, the oats and linseeds tend to fall to the bottom so you have to swirl it round before you drink.
