I have noticed the large price different between pink and red salmon. Since red is more expensive does this mean it is more beneficial? Would I be losing out if I chose pink over red?

Was shopping at asda before and compared their wild red salmon and wild pink salmon. The red has 0.4g omega-3 more per 100g. The pink is £0.80 the red is about £2.30. Why is that?

I think it's because Pink Salmon is farmed and Red is wild. But I could be wrong.

I think wild salmon doesn't' have any Mercury or very little compared to farmed. Can anyone confirm?

Pink and red salmon are different species (See can for the name of the species). Red tends to be the Alaskan variety cant remember the name of the species. If you buy red salmon as fillets/whole fish (expensive), it is deep red in colour. Pink is what most of us know to be salmon. quote:

Just opened up a can of john west salmon, it was all mush and bones. Which is the best tinned one to get? I'd prefer it all flaky like tuna.
