I currently have as my last meal Chicken(100g) and Egg whites (5) 30mins before bed, as there lean proteins. ( Keeping it constent through the nite ) I all so wake up half way through my sleep to have a whey shake. ( Im sure this is not helping me get a soild sleep ) Im thinking of swapping it for Bedtime Extreme. Has oany one Used Bedtime Extreme? Im wating to know will it offer Constent Protein to the muscles through the nite? Is it any better worse than lean protein like eggs/chicken? Thanks all.

The most important thing is to be consistent. Yes, the milk prot conc in Bedtime Extreme is going to be ideal for the overnight fast and chicken and eggs may exit the gut quicker etc but it is what allows you a) the best sleep and b) what you;re going to be consistent with. My advice is to not go 'all or nothing' on either, if you have time have the whole foods, when you feel lazy, are rushed or want a change have the bedtime extreme. Protein powders are really just functional foods - your body sees the protein as protein. Either way don't sweat it.

David Barr, I wake up to a LOW sounding alarm. All though i have been full of energy ( Take ZMA too ) I do find i yaw na far bit, Im sure its not a good idea hence the bedtime extreame sounds great. With regards to the volume nope dont affect me i THINK my body digests stuff quick. drewsky, Cheers i think im going to try it as it suits my needs! And should me no getting up for a "Feed" In the night. Cheers

Good post by drewsky..I always have found that fluids before bed like a shake wake me up a couple hrs after going to sleep so have switched now to cottage cheese, goes down easy and tastes ok - plus its casein so slooow digesting..Personal preference though so try everything

Either is fine although I would consider adding some fats to your chicken.. Maybe have whole eggs instead of just whites??

dont think there is a need to wake up during the night to have a protein shake, as long as you have got the required protein and cals before you go sleep then sleep is more important. Maybe swap egg whites for whole eggs, or chicken for steak if you want to eat whole foods. Maybe drink a few glasses of milk before you go sleep.

A good nites sleep is more important to me than waking for a feed so I go with cottage cheese with a handful of walnuts on top, 1 whole egg, and/or total protein from mp

Quark's a decent alternative pre-bed, nice with nesquick in for flavour and flax powder can be added as desired

Boditronics Midnight Express blows BTE out of the water Amazing taste IME Hi, Just to confirm we are currently re-flavouring Bedtime Extreme and the initial trials are very successful. Within the next 2-3 weeks we will have a new BTE flavour which will be fantastic, but still as functional and also have the flexability to buy in 1kg increments in refill bags or tubs. The price will be staying at our new reduced price £12.95/kg as well. MP

There have been a lot of comments made about the taste of BTE and that people cannot stand the taste of it. I ordered some and had it chocolate flavoured. Whilst it's not the nicest thing i've ever tasted, it's certainly no where near as bad as others have made out. afterall, you don't drink it for the taste. That being said, I will look forward to seeing what the new formula tastes like.
