Heard via forums that this years BSM is on in Minehead 8-12 June. Looking at making the trip for the last couple of days but cant see it confirmed anywhere. Could anyone stick up a link or something to confirmation of this?

Cheers lads. (& lasses )

I first went to watch Britain's in 2001 (Minehead). I had a hell of a job finding out where it was. In the end, I found out the phone number of the gym of one of the competitors - Rob Dixon - and phoned it. Rob himself answered, and told me it was in "Manhead"!

On one of the events in particular (Pillars of Hercules), the crowd was TINY, and the TV crew got the handful of spectators to huddle together in view of the camera, so it looked like there was some sort of a crowd! Fraser Tranter set a world record on that event (it has since been beaten by Tarmo Mitt).

Yeh Its like they want a tiny crowd or something. They keep it so hush hush that it looks like you only get the friends and family of the competitors and the odd guy who happened to be walking past with his dog. My nan lives in minehead so i'm there alot anyway , will be worth making the trip for to watch the finals.

I really disagree with that. Wrestling as a strongman event is an awful event for a number of reasons. Injury potential probably being the biggest one.

I agree, its strongman not WWF!! TWI have probably only put it in as it may be good from a TV stand point.

Are you saying none of the other events in strongman carry a risk of injury then?
