Routine change (Full Version)

Zippa4 -> Routine change (May 2 2008 15:00:07)

Been told my current routine needs some work. Its as follows:

Tues = Chest
3x8 Flat Bench
3x8 Inc DB Press
3x8 Dips

Thurs = Back
3x8 Chins
3x8 BB Rows
3x8 Deadlifts

Sat = Shoulders/Arms
3x10 Mil Press
3x10 Shoulder Press
3x10 BB Curl
3x10 Hammer Curl
3x12 CGBP
3x12 Bench Dips

Sun = Legs
3x8 Squats
3x8 Lunges
3x10 Leg Curls
3x20 C Raises

Looks good. I'd put Deadlifts first though. And maybe do one or two less sets for triceps, as they would have been hit from the OH Pressing - but its nothing major, should still do well either way.

Looks fine to me

As stated above, do deadlifts first - they're a very taxing exercise so it's best to do them fresh

Also perhaps substitute stiff leg or romanian deadlifts instead of leg curls

I did do deadlifts first for a time but personally find it messes up my chins and especially bb rows too much to do them first. At least doing them last means i can hit them hard and not have to worry about recovering quickly for more sets. Each to there own though of course.
On the subject of roman deads i'm ready to crawl into bed after squats and lunges so at least with leg curls i can lay down!! Cheers for all the input though, at least i know i'm heading in the right direction
