No ideal. Whats your goals? Your rest times could be 30s to 600s!

Doing 3 x 8

So normal do a warm up set then go into it, normaly allow 60secs inbetween the 3 sets, So do set 1 60secs set 2 60secs etc.

I'd preffer to be recovered between my sets and shoot for 2-3 mins. Having said that I don't time my rest. I just go when ready. If that is 60s then fair enough.

yep when your ready to go go.
The Rest between sets is determined by the amount of time required to regain sufficient strength to successfully achieve the minimum effective Volume. There is not much to it, and you will not see any dramatic results by varying rest periods (within reason, of course)

For compounds I leave 2-3.

Isolation/less taxing exercises 1-2.

I vary between 30-90secs. Altho that's what I time between my sets, add to that the time to get in on the bar etc you can probably add a little more to it

Usually about 3 minutes, maybe longer when going really heavy

I don't time it as such, just go when I feel ready to do so. Usually I've got some music going so I tend to time it according to when the next song or two starts

Exercises like shrugs and lateral raises I don't wait so long, probably about a minute or so
