Sounds to me like you was involved in a bit of banter and lost. Not worth piss. I do this crap all the time but also remember that what I want from the weights differs from what others want.

BTW: made the 180-kilo bench myself yesterday - big up the 4 plates a side mob!!

Sweet benching Mobster!

You've been after that for a while now - congrats.

My thinking is if something had wound you up so much as to warrant posting on the internet about it then surely it would have provoked a reaction.

You let the comments slide so obviously they didn't bother you that much.

not everyone is confrontational though, you can get angry but still not react to things even if its just to avoid the problem escalating.

i wouldnt say its as simple as you're making out, its rarely a case of something gets said so react to it ot let it drop imo.

Cue the PC brigade turning up.

If something angers you enough to take the time sharing it with the world wide web then it should stimulate some sort of reaction. Its not like he said he was merely pissed off, he said he's wound up beyond belief. God knows how angry he'd get if someone really ripped into him.

Just doesn't all add up in my head.

I have stated in the past I cannot believe half the posts in the general section actually get typed out. My 'stupid guy needs to grow some balls' post is still 'what shoes should I wear to the club?'. Make your own damn mind up or stop giving a ****. Ditto telling the world how, nice as he may be, (he benches 180 after all ha ha), he got wound up after a few words were exchanged when working out.

That said I also usually ask what else is going on in someones life if a little thing like this is somehow made into a big thing.

why the insult of 'PC brigade turning up' ??

whats PC about my post? in fact i'd say that term has no relevance at all. i merely stated that some people get wound up yet wish to avoid confrontation. some people are just not that simple/violent, which in this case if he'd shown how pissed off he was it would have resulted in violence, not the cleverest idea.

me personally i'm confrontational so it would have either not bothered me or i would have pulled him about it, but how many times has someone pissed you off or a mate and someone else jumps in and says "its just not worth it" ?

different triggers for diferent people. doesnt make him wrong or me PC just because you cant get your head round it.

Who said I was refering to you?

The comment was aimed at everyone who chipped in giving him a virtual back slap for turning the other cheek instead of questioning the relevance or reason behind him posting.

IMO absolute no reason and no relevance.

Hes blown an insignificant incident way out of proportion and embarassed himself in the process,

Would you be wound up beyond belief if someone made those exact same comments to you? No.

And neither was he, he's created a mountain out of a mole hill purely for the sake of an MT thread and the reason he would do this baffles me.

it says in the bottom right hand corner of the post (in reply to big d) so i assumed as you'd posted after my post and it said that i was the one you were referring to.

lol just seen your edit now - you're right no i wouldnt be wound up beyond belief, but then again it takes a lot to wind me up these days.

whether he was or not is up to him, i dont see why anyone would lie though, that would be odd to me.

my point was merely that some people react differently in situations, what winds one man up is nothing worth noting to another.

Why come on mt and make a post about it though FFS....

Some of these types of threads are gash....it's like being two faced imo. Too scared to act at the time but get all angry in separate company!!!

Gay...end of

Or, did it even happen?

No, I just fail to see that if it wound you up so much that your still angry enough to bitch and moan about it on the internet hours after the incident why you didn't say something at the time.

have you never ever looked back on a situation wishing you handled it differentley

No but Im sure a hell of a lot of people Ive argued with have!!

For what? Saying he doesn't stay in the gym for more than 5 minutes.

What would you do to someone who insulted your mother? Firing squad?

some chump actually said something similar to me the other day whilst going out of the sauna at the HEALTH CLUB I TRAIN AT

this old fool chirps up you only stay in here for 10 mins then your gone you shouldnt even waste the time putting your swimming briefs on, so i turned round and said its too hot for me i can leave when i want, then he said yeah looks like you dont even spend 2 mins in here each day, i was enraged so i went outside and pulled my towel off the towel rack and hid round the corner of the sauna

when this bloke came out i kekked him and whipped with my towel which i had wrapped really tightly, ''dont tell me how long i should spend in the sauna bitch'', he now has respectpa for me.

Then this c0ck they train with chirped up "yeah he only stays for 5 minutes as well", to which I replied "what I do's enough for me 5 nights a week youth", and he snapped back "yeah looks like it".

Anyone who told me to my face that I only stayed somewhere for 5mins would be crawling out the gym pissing from their ears after I was through with them.

The nerve of the guy.
