i'm still trying to understand the whole pwned thing but heres a quick story

2 big lads and a few other older lads turned upto a bar tonight in liverpool explaining that they were the ****************'s (a family that has a decent enough rep in the area) and the doorlads stopped them, the assistant manager said they were ok and to let them in

they then proceeded to run up a £340 bar tab which they said they were going to the cash machine to get the money out (at 3:30am) and would be back in 5 minutes

10 minutes later they had not returned (surprisingly) and were not who they said they were (also unsurprisingly)

so the manager got bullied and will have to explain a £340 loss

did he get pwned or just bullied?

It all depends on what a **************** is.

According to your post it was put up at 2.34am but your story was referring to something that is supposed to have happened at 3.30am

The guy got conned and probably should be fired or made to pay the money.

He Shouldn't have let them have a tab.
He should of taken a credit card if he's giving tabs.
Letting them all leave to go to a cash point at 3:30am is stupid.

classic example of managers/ assistant managers over-riding doorstaff's descisions and living to regret it

i love you mobster the fact that

was included in the story may well tell you that certain elements of the story (location and time) may have been altered to protect the innocent

the area where their rep is decent enough is the whole of manchester

Wouldnt say he was pwned.

He's just a fool with a lot to learn about running a club.

"Its not club policy to run bar tabs" would have sufficed. If they kick up a fuss then they can drink somewhere else. You can't give people preferencial treatment because they claim to be big shots.

Or made up. It was obvious you'd removed the name but I didn't draw attention to that. Indeed I could probably find out the name but why bother. The issue, then, is the manager is an idiot. He wasn't owned or pwned. He was conned. It's one of the oldest tricks in the book 'I'm just going to get the money' c'mon!!

Further to that, any attempt to pwn or own someone in "real life" is in the top 10 list of things not to do, right behind locking your daughter in a hidden basement for 24 years.

Cant see why he let them in, in the first place.
Anyone who walks into a bar throwing names about is looking or going to cause trouble.
